Construction Of New State-Of-The-Art Sea Turtle Medical Center Marked By Ceremonial Event
Nestled in the small province of Phang-Nga in the middle of Thailand lies a naval base, which has a focus not commonly seen among military establishments. The Phang-Nga naval base is also home to their very own sea turtle conservation center, which is dedicated to headstarting and releasing countless sea turtle hatchlings each year, and now, with the construction of their newest hospital, they will be better equipped to rehabilitate the injured sea turtles that find their way to the organization. Thanks to a generous donation from the managing director of Film Master Co., Suthasinee Nitisakarin, who offered to completely fund the project, the facility will include world-class operating and surgical rooms as well as the latest modern equipment. The opening ceremony, which commemorates breaking ground on construction, will continue through the end of the week and officials are optimistic for the furthering of these vital conservation efforts in the Thai Muang district.
