There are only 3 species in the Indotestudo genus. I currently work two of them — Indotestudo forstenii (Forsten’s Tortoise) and Indotestudo elongata (Elongated Tortoise). The last member of the genus, Indotestudo travencorica (Travencore Tortoise) is one of my dream species and I hope to work with them some day.
I’ve been working with Indotestudo forstenii since 2003. My breeding colony is 4.6 (two of the females are CB animals). My group is part of the AZA Studbook for Indotestudo fostenii. I am also raising up a number of juvenile tortoises in addition to my breeding colony.
