Great Sea Turtle Rescue by The South Carolina Aquarium

Whether poisoned by toxins, having the digestive system full of different plastic or even have lost a flipper because it was struck by a boat, they all made it back safe to the sea ! Indeed, the South Carolina Aquarium has done an excellent job in rescuing and rehabilitating these sea turtles. Buck, a loggerhead turtle, was poisoned by toxins and he was unable to paddle his flippers. He would often turn himself over in the tank so they thought he had neurological problem, but it was cataract! Buck received surgery and started to paddle his flipper again. He is now in great shape. McAdoo, another sea turtle, was struck by a boat and got his jaw badly fractured. Now, he is crushing crabs as it was nothing. Bohicket, on the other hand, had 5 different plastic in his digestive system. He received surgery and is now doing pretty well. The hospital recently received 19 new patients.
